Meet Dr. Amato

Josh Amato, M.D., is a board-certified ophthalmologist at Ophthalmology Consultants, serving patients in the St. Louis area. Dr. Amato specializes in cataracts and YAG procedures.

Dr. Amato earned his medical degree with distinction from St. Louis University School of Medicine. He interned at St. John’s Mercy Medical Center and completed his ophthalmology residency at the St. Louis University Eye Institute.

Dr. Amato is board-certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is licensed to practice in Missouri and Illinois. In 2025, he was nominated as a Top Doctor in St. Louis Magazine.
