Dr. Cinthia Pi, MD, is a comprehensive ophthalmologist at Ophthalmology Consultants. She performs cataract surgery and manages conditions including dry eye, astigmatism, and glaucoma.
Dr. Pi graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Duke University in Durham, North Carolina. She earned her medical degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She completed her Internship and Residency in Ophthalmology at Saint Louis University. While in residency, she performed hundreds of eye procedures including cataract surgery, glaucoma laser surgery, and intravitreal injections for diabetic retinopathy and macular degeneration. She was recognized with the Roya Rabbani MD Memorial Award for Excellence in Patient Care (June 2022), and the Harry R. Brady MD Outstanding Resident Research Presentation Awards (June 2023 and June 2024), and served as the administrative Chief Resident during her last year of training.
Dr. Pi grew up in three different countries - China, Japan, and the United States - and speaks Mandarin Chinese and Japanese in addition to English. She is married and lives in a four-generation household with her husband, two children, parents, and grandparents. She is passionate about treating her patients like family - tailoring eyecare to each patient's lifestyle and needs.
